Easter Si’
Every time Easter rolls around, I look forward to choosing a stroller. Since I am usually travelling to visit family, it has to be a lightweight. One year there was the aqua Maclaren Daytripper. Another year it was the lavender Inglesina Espresso. But this year, instead of going with a pastel, I chose the Easter-eggish “Corallo Stripes” Peg Perego Si’. 
And you’ll say YES! when you “see” it, too! If you are a Peg fan, you will adore it. To start with, it has an incredible canopy; remarkable for a lightweight umbrella stroller. 
It pulls all the way down, and there is a dark mesh visor in the front. 
There is also a mesh peekaboo window, with a little pocket on the back. 
The recline is very deep, although not all the way flat. I would be comfortable using it at about 3 months and up. 
There is a long, extended legrest which makes it very comfortable for a younger child. No “dangling legs” here! 
The fold is very easy, just two steps. Pull up the lever, yank on the handle. And in case you forget, Peg was thoughtful enough to mark them for you–1 and 2, lol!
Good thing the fold is fast, too. We had five! different Easter Egg hunts to go to this year. In fact, they held the last one for us until 6:00, heehee! 
The basket is very big, for an umbrella stroller. You can see how much stuff you can carry in there. 
The handles are height adjustable. And there is a side carrying handle. It comes with a cupholder and raincover, and stands alone when folded. Ideal for all your summer travel adventures! 
But I saved the best for last. Notice something different/unusual/special about the Si’? Despite what we have discussed, I mean? Take another look: 
Give up? It’s the WHEELS! And they are MAGNIFICO! 
They are made of some kind of a wonderful hard rubber, with suspension and ball bearings. That is why, even though they are only 6.5″, they can easily glide over all moderate outdoor surfaces, like cracked sidewalks and grass. 
We agree that the Si’ gets a Royal Rating of 5 Crowns!

Looks like the perfect umbrella stroller! If the wheels are rubber, can hold up well on neighborhood’s rough roads and grass?? Would you compare it to the buggster?
I was wondering about the weight. It says it’s only 12 lbs. but you have 16 1/2? I have the Inglesina Zippy and love it but after two kids lifting up the 17 lb. stroller to get in my SUV is taking it’s toll on me. I was looking forward to the 5 lb. break! But if it is only a half pound or so I might pass….?
Thanks for the review…it helped sell my husband on it! We’re going to Disney in a month and my little one will be 6 months. We have a Britax Vigour, which I love but much to bulky for air travel. I was debating the Pliko P3 but it still seemed larger than we wanted, so then we thought about a Maclarean(sp?) but this one seems to combine the best of both worlds!! And looks like it will work with my Britax Companion car seat, just one more plus!! Can’t wait for it to get here!
The tires are the best I’ve seen on any umbrella stroller. Still, for rough roads, I think air tires would be better. As for the Buggster, I am about to do a comparison of that, with the Joovy Kooper. Stay tuned…
What's the wieght capacity? I have heard 3 different wts so far – 33, 44 & 50 lbs. thans
Weight Capacity seems like a simple question. From the "Si" User Manual: "This item is approved for children from 6 months up to 15 kg (33 lb.) in the seat." More technical answer: Max. weight for a stroller includes static weight in the seat, how much weight the brakes can hold on an incline, how much weight the straps can hold statically and during a sudden stop, etc. The US standards group, ASTM, apparently specifies 40lb testing for these and other criteria, which is why you see 40lb. capacity on many strollers. The European standard EN1888 apparently specifies 15kg, so many Euro companies test to that criteria. Adherence to these standards is voluntary, not mandatory for sale in the US, but it seems like most stroller makers perform the testing.Can the stroller take more? Perhaps, but they are just not tested for that.
I just tried this stroller out at BRUS and fell in love with it! I think it folds easier than the MacClaren Quest (which you have to bend over to fold down). Thanks stroller queen! You helped us make our decision…I had been worried about the wheels, wondering if they could handle some of the bumpy NYC sidewalks and park paths. -Di
is it suitable for older babies (2 years old).?? is it easy to push? i walk about 1,5 hours every day
is this really an unbrella stroller? it looks so great, but I want something that will go in and out of the car/subway easily. Do we have an answer to the how much the stroller weights?
I too am very curious about the true weight. Maybe 12 lbs is without the canopy and basket–I noticed that Maclaren and other's weigh their strollers like that. So with the lovely canopy and basket I can see it adding the 5 lbs? But still want confirmation–anyone? I'm returning my just purchased Zooper Twist-total crap.
i noticed that the manual says the weight max is 33 pounds but on the peg website, it says that the stroller can hold 45 pounds. i emailed peg and they said that there was a typo in the manual and that the stroller can hold 45 pounds.
I don't know the exact weight of the stroller, but it seems very light to me. It's very easy to carry (even up and down stairs) and not at all clumsy. It's also a pleasure to wheel. And it's great that it stands on its own once folded. I love mine!
